sup,
i have a problem. i cut my side marker wires real close to the white box that connects the light bulb so i could splice my gruppe-s clear corners and now i wanna put my stock ones back in! i still have the cut white box (but there isn't enough wire to connect it to anything), the light bulb, and the oem side markers still but i think i need a new white box with long wires on it so i can reconnect it to the wires within the body of the car. if you happen to have that white box or can direct me to someone who does or sells 'em please let me know. thanks a lot.

Why not just use solder?? I mean unless you cut them directly against the box, I am sure solider would be fine...

Are you saying that you cut the wires too close to the light socket or too close to the connector?? If it is too close to the light socket to reuse the socket, then take it to Pep Boys and you should be able to match it up to a universial one. If you call me at the shop tomarrow I could look around and see if I have some stock ones layin around.

sorry, but is soldering pretty much melting them together?
and i believe the wires are way to close to the white box for me to solder it. i wish i could post a pic, but i don't have the means. are you saying i can show the people at pep boys the white box and they can find something that'll work the same for it? thanks for all the help so far. ![]() |

There is probably a way to pop the little metal connectors out of the 'white box' so that you can access the crimp connections. Its probably still a good idea to solder the connections afterwards though... If you pull it apart that way, you can make it look just like stock and it might even be a better connection since its soldered. Now you just need to find somebody nearby who can help you w/ it!

basically you twist the wires together and then heat the bare wires with your iron. once they are hot enough (and yes, they can get TOO hot), then while still heating the wire, you apply the solder. The object is to sort of melt the solder so that it runs in between all the wires, all the way through. DO NOT put the solder on the iron and then try to "paint" it onto the wires !!!(<~ common but horribly wrong practice) |

Tek - I got clear side markers so I have my stock ones extra. you are more than welcome to them if you would like. The only thing is that I decided to screw around with them and see if I could get the orange part off on one of them. Ended up just bearly cracking it. Then I stopped. So if you are interested in a set, one with a small crack on the top corner, then they are yours.
