Arrow Identifying engine with only the block (is it possible?) Also need TD05 ID

Just picked up a JDM engine... Well, parts of it Its a closed deck EJ20, probably a G but I dont know for sure. Is there a spot to check on the block for specific identification? I dont have any vin plates or anything to go with it.

Here are some pics: http://community.webshots.com/album/112009614PLXLSB

And heres the number plate from the TD05 (is it a 16g, 18g, ???)

My information doesn't appear to confirm that. I show the turbo part number as the TD05H off a standard EJ20G. The turbo part number off the STi is 14412AA091. This appears to be the turbo and a standard closed deck block from a '93 or '94 WRX...

Thats more along the lines of what I was getting. But I cant comfirm the year. It is possible that it could be from a later model wagon as well.

I added more pics of everything btw: http://community.webshots.com/album/112009614PLXLSB

Not really most early model wagons came with a TD04. There is a slight possibility that it is but highly doubtful.

Weren't all the blocks the same between the RA's and WRX on the EJ20G's. I thought the heads were jacketed differently for the RA's and that was a huge difference. But I think I remember reading somewhere on the RA's had the forged crank so I might be wrong.

Do you have the ECU or IC?

NONONONO nerds I said I have type RA! just welcoming him to JDM world. AHAH! Not saying he has type RA. Sorry should have worded it right. I ment to say congrats it is closed deck and you do have tdo5. It is from earlier model pre 97. I can tell you for sure if you give me ID numbers. You pic of it is not showing up for me. I haev UK and JDM manuels so I cna look it up. Tell you what year blah blah. Forged pistons and rods I belive in type RA would have to look it up. WRX and STi not all motors are closed deck. There was so few that where closed deck up to 97. Last of the closed decks that I know of are the WRX type RA not STI type RA. They rotated when they gave closed deck like early year or later year kinda thing. was not set in stone that is Y it is hard. Well man tired I will be abck onlater PM me for help blah balh. I am alwasys here

No ECU or IC. I dont even have the jdm heads yet (ive got all the internals for them, just not the physical heads. The ones in the pics are USDM heads)

AWJunkies, if that pic isnt working I can just send it to you via email.
