Default Widest tire for a 17x7.5 SDR?

Ideally you won't want to go wider than a 225. Also depends on the tire. Some are wider than others. Some have a stiffer sidewall. Etc.

I had 235/40-17 V700's on 7.5" wide Subzeros. They fit, but there was a little bit of rounding on the outer edges. I put them on 8" wide wheels and the rounding was gone.

Well I got the 245/45//17 victoracers on the sdrs that I bought from you. They fit the wheels no problem but it looks like I will need to do a bit of fender rolling in the rear. I think they may have cleared on the stock wheels but the extra 5mm of offset seems to have made them spit out those rubber strips above the wheel wells.
