Default A place to test a not street legal car?

I am building a formula car with ten other guys from the University of Colorado. This thing is sweet...you'll start seeing it at all the SCCA autocrosses Feb. 8th will be the first. We have last year's clocked at a sub-4 second 0-60 (and that is with a required restriction on the intake). We are building another one this year and will be in great need to test it, however, have been given much problems as to a local spot. All we need is a large parking lot...or anything paved and somewhat big. Any ideas? They would be much appreciated and as a thank you a rip in the car would be in order.

Hey man, Thats cool that you guys are developing a new FSAE car. I built a mini-baja car and helped out with the formula team when I was at West Virginia University.
Sorry I can't suggest a testing spot. What you could do, is approach local businesses with large lots (sams club, old mall) and ask for permission to run for a few hours at night or early morning. you could offer to run there sticker for lot time instead of monetary sponsorship.
I'd like to check out your car. I'll look for you guys at the autocrosses

Good luck!

Second Creek Raceway. Not sure when they are open during the winter though. I think it is a fun track and it isn't too far from boulder. (right near DIA)

Hey, do you know Preston? I think he is also working on that car or another car along side you guys. If you do know him... you should call him Poncho!!
