Question Need Help...your opinion on exhaust welcomed!!

I am deciding between two turbo back exhausts. One is the Perrin Performance dual tipped exhaust (3inches)...the other is the APS 3.5 in exhaust. Which one would you guys go for and why?

I believe the Perrin exhaust is about $1200, the APS one i can get it on sale for $999. The Perrin one is a lil louder...the aps one is quieter.

My long term goal is to get my STi to about 400-450whp.

thanks, Ghost

i love the look of the dual-tip exhaust so i will either get the perrin or borla "hush"...

the godspeed downpipe is the only one i would go with but it is really up to you...

FWIW - i wouldn't install anything but a downpipe until either engine management comes out or you port the vf39..

hope this helps..

I would get the 3.5 because you will never have to change it in the future if you decide to go for BIG HP

Hey Eric,

Actually i misquoted...the $999 for a full tbe from APS is the 3 inch piping without the cat. Still a good deal from Genesis Racing Development in Naperville, Illinois. Ask for Tuan or Rashad. i'm getting mine installed this friday along with my wastegate being ported to prevent any possible boost creep.

i'll let you know how it goes.

Does anyone know if i opted for the dual tipped Perrin axel back while using the Aps midpipe and downpipe, would there be any significant changes in the sound and power?
Ghost

Just asking bc i love the twin tipped look of the Perrin axel back.

i have talked to Dan and he said the 3.5 is very very loud.unless you plan to go very big hp its probably overkill, and loud.
