Post How long have you gone w/o your subie?

Well since a lot of people seem to have gotten into accidents recently I thought I'd ask what the longest time people have gone w/o their Subies. I've been w/o mine since Thanxgiving and it's still going to be another week before I'll get it back.

4 days here too. No accident, but I was in Virginia riding around Williamsburg in an Avalon with blown rear shocks. Feels good to be home.

About 6 hours, but if you count just not being in it but in the general vicinity, about 2 days.

I went without mine for almost two years. I needed something bigger to haul junk around in while remodeling my house, so I got a (grumble) Jeep. It's for sale now and I'm back home.

3 days and counting. But, it'll be WELL worth it when it gets back to me!

It's in the shop getting the 1.8 FWD swapped out for a 2.5 AWD. Then the fun really begins.

1 day 20 hours 34 minutes and 59.999 seconds.

And I shouldn't even be complaining, since I got another Subie for a loaner. However, it's a piece of junk '93 Legacy wagon, Automatic, FWD only. It has some serious wheel balance/ball joint/steering unit issues or something. I've been taking it slow not because the handling is so bad, but because the seats offer so little lateral support that I'm sliding all over the place.

My subie is suppose to be ready this afternoon. We'll see, it's in for a blown head gasket. EDIT: Now it won't be ready until Tuesday and it's snowing out. The loaner has ****ty tires and the auto tranny never seems to down or up shift when it should. It's going to be a hellish ride home.

Looking at it from a different angle, about 22 years or so. That's about how long its was between when I got my license and bought my subie. It's also roughly about how long its been since the first Audi quattro stormed on to the rally circuit and I decided I someday wanted an AWD car.

Jan 19th will be one year. Unless you could the short time I had the WRX.

Do I miss it? Well not really since I've still got a AWD car but this time I have a factory V6TT. Also this way I am saving alot of miles on the car. Probably going to confuse the crap out of the dealership when I go back in for service.

Back in June I had ordered my Tein springs and KYB agx struts. They finally arrived two days before my 4 week trip out to Europe. So I was without my scooby, and my suspension was sitting on my bed laughing at me, for 4 weeks. I did get to see some nicely done Impreza GTs as well as one that was victim of a hit and run OOh ooh, and 1 Mistu Evo VI sitting in a parking lot in Germany.

Ok, here's another question. For those that got into accidents, how much was the repair estimate? Mine was $11k.

damn, 11k, i was without mine for a month and a half after an incident with a curb, and a total of about 3 months with all the other little things that have happened for a grand total of about $5500 in damage repairs. And about to go in again to have the rear bumper fixed from someone rear ending me, so add another $600 to that.
