Default 225 dunlop do not fit on a GC/M

After reading a few threads I decided to take my chances on trying to fit 225/50 r16 dunlop sp5000s on the stock wheels. About an inch of the sidewall was in contact with the rear strut tube. I'm in the process of installing longer wheel studs and a 1/4inch spacer to fit the rear tires. The fronts look like they will be fine. I'm still not sure if i'm going to have to roll the fenders or remove some of the fender liners. BTW the suspension is v6 struts with spt/eibach springs. Drop around 3/4-1inch all around.

P.S. 225s are gonna look badass!

Here's a bump with more info. With 3mm spacers in the rear and rolled fenders there is only slight rubbing with the car loaded and turning very hard. Other than that there isnt any rubbing. The fronts fit fine with no modification.

Stock wheels? Thats a problem right there with 225's on the GC.
Its one of the reasons I went with Rota Slipstreams which have less offset so that the tires will clear the strut.
