Default Sumitomo HTR+ Tire Pressure

Quick question/poll:

What tire pressure do you run on your Sumitomo HTR+? Of particular interest would be 215/45-17...

Thanks for any feedback. I'm running 34F/32R and not sure if this is ideal for a car that's seeing about 75% highway miles and about 25% heavily potholed Boston. I'd like (obviously) optimum handling and grip for the tire, without inflating them so much that they'd be more susceptible to pop after going over a rough section of road.

I have the exact same tires. I run the same tire pressure. THat should be fine. I live in downtown denver and do 70% of my driving here. I'd love to see a town with worse roads then ours. I cringe everytime i drive to work ( i literally drive down the middle of the road sometimes to avoid road undulations).

Maybe you haven't seen Boston lately! I feel your pain. I live around the Big Dig, where they feel the need to rip up parts of the street all the time, and when they re-pave it, it's almost always a half-assed job. Then add lots of snow/ice and temperature variations (-7 to 100+ over the course of the year)...yipee!

Should I have gotten 215/50-17 tires? Would the extra height provide more protection against potholes? I don't really mind the rough ride from a comfort stand-point, but I'm concerned about blowing out my tires--which I've already done once on pothole/crater. I know I'd sacrifice some performance, but since 99.9% of my driving is off a track, maybe it's worth it.

PS: Nice screen name!
