Default Cusco Zero-2R Coilovers for 02+ WRX

Cusco Zero-2R Coilovers for 02+ WRX

Now that the racing season is just around the corner, Iíve decided to post my Cusco Zero-2Rs for sale.

- The Zero-2Rs were installed at ~43600 miles and removed at ~48650 miles, so they have a total of only ~5050 miles with about 4-5 autocrosses. The Zero-2Rs have been on my WRX from 4/12/03 to 8/16/03, so they have not seen any snow or salt. I sprayed them with WD-40 on a regular basis to keep them clean and rust free. After examination, I found no rust on the coilovers. They are in excellent condition (see pictures below).

- Reason for selling: The Zero-2Rs are just a bit too stiff for my tastes, although, several people use them on a daily basis and love them. Itís all about personal preference. If I didnít drive my WRX daily, I wouldnít be selling them because the rock for autocross. Imagine zero body roll and zero nose-dive. Simply amazingÖ The Zero-2Rs were also a little noisy. A popping sound generated at speeds under 5-10mph. At any speed above 5-10mph, the coilovers were totally silent. After removing the coilovers from the vehicle, I noticed that the camber plate adjustment bolts had made contact with the metal spring perch below them. I would suggest that the buyer install shorter bolts or cut down the current ones to avoid this noise.

The Zero-2Rs include the following
- Front and rear 5 way rebound adjustable dampers and 2-way height adjustment
- 7kg/mm & 5kg/mm springs assembled to struts
- Front camber plates
- Rear fixed plates
- 6kg/mm & 4kg/mm springs (I never used these, but after reading a few threads, I found out that these have the smaller diameter from the previous Zero-2R version. You should be able to swap these for the larger diameter current version via Gruppe-S.)
- Allen wrench for camber adjustment (After snapping off one of the original bolts on the camber plates, I replaced all of them with stronger bolts. They are Allen heads, but they are a size smaller so the included Allen wrench does not fit. Youíll just need to pick up a small wrench from your local tool shop.)
- Spanner wrenches for adjusting ride height and spring pre-load
- Original instructions and documentation
- Original unused Zero-2R stickers
- Damping adjustment tool

- I originally paid $2000 for the Zero-2Rs. Iím asking for $1625 + shipping and feel that this is a reasonable offer considering their excellent condition.

would you want to trade for some Tanabe SS?

THey ride a lot softer then the Zero2R(My friend has them), but can also be stiff as a rock.

They come with 8kg, and 6kg springs, and also helper springs.

I have both the front and rear pillow mounts, and both are adjustable.

Let me know. Thanks.

bebeGDB,

Unfortunately, I already have my suspension setup the way I like...thanks for the offer though. I'm running Koni inserts with Prodrive springs. It's much softer than the Cuscos, guess I'm just a wuss I'm in the market for some new rotors though...
