Default to those that have installed silicone turbo inlet hoses...

did your turbo noise increase? after installing my perrin inlet hose/samco maf hose, i can really hear the turbo now. it sounds awesome, but i want to make sure it is supposed to be this way. i double checked, and every clamp is tight, and i am not getting any mils or having any idle/backfire issues from running too rich. i'm guessing its allright, but want to be sure. if this is how its supposed to be, then i think everyone should do this

I installed in the AVO inlet hose well over a year ago and have had no problems (other than the install PITA). I have noticed the turbo is a little louder (well suction air noise anyway) but it was more due to the short ram intake (the short ram intake really gives you the sucking air noise as I put the stock box back on in the winter).

Hope this helps

I have the Perrin Inlet hose.

Install with a other-than-stock turbo might require removal of turbo. I have the 16g hybrid and i could not install the hose without removing the turbo. took like 5 hours. Had i known i was going to have to do that it would've taken only 2 or 3 but i tried to do it without taking the car apart with no luck.

I have a similar setup: Perrin inlet hose, Perrin drop-in filter, and Zerosport maf hose. I have a VF-23 and it is very loud when the thing spools up. People who know nothing about cars will sit in my passenger seat and comment almost immediately "What is that noise? SOunds like a jet or something." So yes, this setup will make a normal audible turbo louder, which is something I personally like. I have also retained the factory BOV, and you can now actually hear the "Pshhhh" when it blows off.

As for installation of the Perrin inlet hose, took about 2 hours the first time. And a good part of that time was spent modfiying the intake box so the Zerosports pipe could fit in with the perrin inlet hose.

No Inlet yet, but will be installing Samco IC hose this weekend. Also, air suction is noticeable since I installed the Perrin SRI, and the TSX D/P. Spool is much quicker and engine's rumble is better after the PDE Flex U/P install last weekend.

the only noise increase i heard after putting the perrin turbo inlet hose on was an annoying rattle at the beginning of 1st and 2nd gear...and that was from the new heatshield i also put on the same night and was hitting the wastegate actuator

that install was the biggest PITA btw

I've got the BPM Turbo Inlet with the Zero Sports MAF pipe and I noticed a big difference in Turbo sound. Sounds awesome, but I also worried that something wasn't right.
