Default ADR Rims and New Tires

I'm looking into some ADR rims, but don't know anything about the company. Anyone heard or had any experiences??? I'm trying to decide on a new rim, not too expensive, for my '04 rex. I need tire advice too. Thanks!!

I have some 17" ADR GT-sport rims for summer on my WRX. They look very nice. They are heavy (22lbs or so). They are fairly strong, but can be bent rallying with low profile tires (ya, I'm stupid... what can I say... they didn't cost much to fix, though). I found that these rims were fairly expensive when you compare them to Rotas.

ADR paint chips pretty easily. i had sokudo's on another car.
they look nice, but the durability is questionable.

I'm looking at the sokudos myself. I'm concerned about how they perform at 80+ mph. Are there any serious shaking or do they handle well? Durability is a concern, however, they are so cheap that they could be easily replaced should a problem arise with one.

you probably won't have problems with vibrations as long as the tire is mounted/balanced properly.

paint durability is very questionable...

if i was to buy the wheels again, i would get something else
that is properly powdercoated instead. (i sold the car and
wheels though, a last year).

I have a set of Sokudos for sale with tires. 18" Gold with 225 40 18. They are fine at speed. I am selling them for 700 shipped. They have a few scratches and the tires have about 1500 miles on them.

What is your opion on the sokudos, I'm unfortunetly looking for silver not bold, but what did you think of the rim overall? What are you trading up for?

They seem to be fine other than their weight. No problems with them. The only reason I am selling them is because I want darker rims. Originally I thought I wanted gold, but I have since decided to go with either gunmetal or black.

Do they weigh more than stock?? Or are they just a bit heavier in comparison to other aftermarket wheels? How much to the stock rex wheels weigh?

the sokudo's are considerably heavier. the 17x7 i had were
19.5lbs. factory wheels are 16lbs or so. but you won't feel
the difference on the streets. you *might* notice a difference
when braking.

if you like the CE28N design, the sokudo's are a great bargain.
i think if youre careful with the paint and don't mount tires
often, they are okay. you don't want to mount tires too many
times as the paint chips off the outer lip of the rim from the
mounting tool.

The outer lip really isn't a problem, especially since once the tire is mounted you can't see any of the scrapes. I do have a few scrathces and nicks in the paint on the spokes of mine, but nothing that noticable.
