Default Anyone have Charter HDTV service?

I'm getting it hooked up on Friday in hopes of HD superbowl. I can't get info about CBS being carried by Charter as part of there service. The woman I talked to said channel 7 , HBO, discovery "and 2 more" According to their website fox, cbs, nbc, and abc are offered for some areas

Anyone here use them for HDTV?

Josh

I do, I have discovery HD and HD HBO, I dont know if any others are though...thats all they had listed as HD when we got it but they might have added more by now. Its really cool looking but im not sure if it was worth the extra $ a month, mostly i think it looks like a dvd instead of cable

I have comcast in NH. 4, 5, 7, FOX, HBO and PBS all in HD. It's worth it. My only other choice would be DTV, but the box is a another $599.99 for HD.

I have Showtime and Discovery in HDTV. The picture is absolutely incredible. It makes DVD's look really lame!

However, none of the major networks are available "yet" in my area.

Of course this picture doesn't do it justice. No picture can display the incredible "depth" with HDTV.

I have RCN. ANd for some reason CBS is not broadcasted in HD. We have all the other major stations except CBS.

COX has just started released HDTV in my area. Haven't gotten it yet because they want $50 to "install" it. I asked what that meant- do they need to add a filter or something to the line or what? THey said no, that's what they charge for their tech to come into the house, crawl behind my $4000+, 65" TV and plug the HDTV descrambler box in-between the wall outlet and the TV input. And that's not even talking about the audio hook up to my HT. I laughed at them and said I'll subscribe once you offer "self install".

For now I get WFSB (Ch 3, CBS), WGBY (Ch 57, PBS), WTNH (Ch 8, ABC), WCTX and a couple of others off the air with my old fashioned directable roof top antenna. For no monthly charge, thank you.
