Default Stock Tire Replacement 205/55-16

My tires are past worn and I was wondering if anyone knew where to get some cheap replacements at(online or a chain store).

I don't need the best or longest lasting tire, as I plan to buy new rims before these even begin to wear out. Something better than the RE92s would be nice though.

Here's a list from The Tire Rack http://www.tirerack.com/tires/Compar...055WR6S03PP_=4
Is it even possible to find anything cheaper?(the shipping cost is insane) If so, where should I look?

What is your definition of "insane" for shipping cost? When I plug in the zip code for Fremont, CA, I see that it would cost a whopping $28 to ship 4 tires (not a small item, you realize) from their Nevada warehouse. Doesn't seem particularly "insane" to me.

And for that matter, what is your definition of "cheap"? How much are you looking to spend? You could always try to find some used tires - there are probably some guys selling RE92s that they've junked for better tires.

I agree, the shipping cost looks quite sane to me. And $60 tire is about as cheap as you will find for new.

I always buy from tirerack. I can get tires including shipping significantly cheaper than what local tire stores charge. But then you have to get them mounted. That usually costs $50 or more. Still cheaper than buying somewhere else usually.

The shipping cost I was going off was from another warehouse that had them in stock(Nevada had them "on order") and it was $59 shipping from there. The only reason I meant it was "insane" that after adding in shipping and possibly valve stems it wasn't any cheaper to buy from The Tire Rack than from anywhere else unless they have some specials I don't know about.

That's what my question really was I guess...Does anybody know of any sales on tires from anywhere? Someone told me Costco had tires really cheap but when I checked their website they had nothing.

I guess I'm willing to spend ~$60 per tire(I can mount and balance them myself)so I could get em from anywhere really.

Used RE92s are a good idea but they'd have to be awfully cheap and local.
