Default Third Brake light delete?

This may be in the wrong location, if so please move to proper area.

on to the question; is there a plastic or other type of cover that can be placed over were the third brake light location is?

Yes I have one... Got it from CC-B. Their web page has them listed for $22.50. It is black plastic, fits right, and looks stock.

or you can just get some EZFelt from an art store and
cut and glue it onto the carpeting. looked just as nice.

I have the CC-B cover, which looks OK. You could also try to order a rear deck panel for an STi or the 02-03 Sonic Yellow WRX sedans (they all come with spoilers stock, and did not have a 3rd brake light on the deck).

If I'm not mistaken, it's the law in most states to have a brake light inbetween the "normal" brake lights, or higher than the "normal" brake lights, correct? So if I removed my spoiler (thus getting rid of the LED third brake light), and still kind of want to remove the third brake light in the cabin, would that be illegal?

No, it would not NOT be legal. You need to have a 3rd brake light. The only reason people (including myself) have removed the interior 3rd brake light is because Subaru was too damn lazy to do it themselves if you ordered a car with the wing...

Third brake lights were required by law back in 1986.
The amber front sidemarkers (and red rear sidemarkers) were required back in 1968.
Europe doesnt require the side running lights like we have, but they require the repeater in the fender for the turnsignal.

Hmmmm, wasn't aware of the deck panel option....the replacement cover is nice, but a lightless cover would be suuuuupppper nice.
