Default Light bulb replacement on WRX wagon

hey guys, my friend got a used WRX wagon with 22,000 on it, anyways we were changing the bulbs out for some Sylvania Silverstars he bought.

what i found weird about it was the bulbs that we pulled out that were in the car when he bought it were some regular Sylvanias.

i wouldnt expect a Japanese car to come with an american brand of parts. like i was expecting it to be maybe Denso or some other Japanese brand.

so the real question here is for the guys who've changed their bulbs already, what brand are the stock ones? im curious because lots of other parts on the car were modified but changed back to stock before he got it. i can tell because i can see hose clamps put back on improperly around the intercooler and a red samco by pass valve hose, which is very unstock.

thanks guys! we really want to know whether these really are the OEM bulbs or if that was another area tampered with by the original owner...

Mine came with Sylvania. It is their normal line. Not the Xtravision.

Osram Sylvania is an international company. They sell a lot of things all over the world.
And "OEM" is whatever the most economical to use for the manufacturer, and still meet their specifications. There shouldn't be any "halo" around JDM OEM blah blah blah parts.

haha! thanks guys, we already see tons of other parts were swapped out for less than OEM stuff.....

are silverstars okay to use or will they possibly melt/overload the factory headlight harness over time?
