PWN3D So I owned my supervisor yesterday, yet I still have a job.

I had to go to this rediculous training session that took all day, and it starts off bad. The supervisor is going around the room and having us introduce ourselves and mention something personnal about ourselves . Well, it gets to me, and this is pretty much how the conversation went:

Supervisor:... and tell us something about yourself.

Me: Well, I've recently gotten into a slightly expensive hobby of auto racing.

S: Really? What do you race?

M: I'm sorry..?

S: What kind of racing is it? I only ask because I'm a Nascar fan.

M: Oh... well, it's called autocrossing. I haven't started competing yet, but there's no specific type of vehicles used, although it is broken down into classes, and it's very interesting because they lay out a course and the cars turn both right and left.

S: Oh..... what a.... what a concept.

I friggin' hate Nascar and just assume that most of the fans are retarded white trash.

So what type of owning did you do? Maybe I just missed it, but all I see is you doing is introducing the concept of autox to your super. Oh well, feel me in on who or what was owned.

I would watch dragracing before NASCAR. At least there is a slice of action. (not that I enjoy it all that much).

With nascar: "lets all have the exact same car with the same specifications....yours will have a ford sticker while mine will have a chevy sticker. If I happen to avoid a major pile-up then I will boast about how Chevy beats your Ford even though they really aren't chevy or fords at all."

I get the fact that Nascar only turns one way and that autox turns both ways, but how is that considered owning your supervisor? Just because he doesn't know what autox is you owned him. ?

He got owned because you're supposed to hate nascar and like everything else. Even though no one here would have a chance in nascar, but I digress.

I don't like nascar either, but I can accept that others do..

I think it's because people who never watch auto racing know NASCAR exists and think that's what "racing" is.

Just becasue he was taking a stab at nascar as a sport after his boss said he liked it.
Ok, maybe "owned" is a strong word but you get the point.

Please, nascar is more racing than F1. Before this year it was like a high speed parade..

Ok I get the point and I do have to agree with mainj in that owned was probably a strong word, but everything is cleared up now. Thanks to all who gave different standpoints.

have you guys read the "pyramid of speed"? it's pretty funny, although autocrossing is kind of far down on the pyramid. check it out:

Autocrossing an expensive racing sport?

by far the cheapest.

20 bucks for a day of racing, nothing needed but a car and yourself.

ive only spent 500 bucks on azenis and OZ rims and dont really NEED anything else to pwn

Here's the real ownage:

It's supposed to be "they turn both left and right"

You got them mixed up. It matters the order if you're trying to insult somebody.

That'd be funny. When the leader hits the 1/2-way lap, everybody heads down pit road, pits, and then reverses the course.

Make it more challenging for them. I mean come on. Gotta set the car up so it drives straight otherwise the 2nd half could get interesting.
