I took some pics of my car after recent body work and powdercoating the wheels. Take a look.

Ilove the black wheels. They speedlines look great in black. Coupled with the Yoko AVS-Sports, the car looks mean.

Impy,

custom made. but I might be able to bribe him to cut me some more. Iwas thinking going darker anyway. I will see what i can do. Cost will be around $100 or so. let me know if that is alright.

Ok, so you guys like this car, but you say mine is ugly? What are you smoking? Black rims on a silver car, just don't look right to me. And unless your going to be doing some rally racing, I see no point in the foglight covers. Your covering up one of the coolest parts of the car. If your worried about breaking the fogs during regular everyday driving, then waitfor them to break, and get the fog covers to cover up the broken glass later.

Flame away...

Very Nice!
Add the V5 wing and you got a beast.

How much did it cost you to powder coat by the way?

From that angle it looks like you lost your hubcaps over your drums
I must agree with liquid that black rims look nice, but maybe on a white car more so. But the wheels do look nice.
Liquid - your rims are still ghetto

Thanks for the positive comments. I can see why some don't like the black, but I do. I just wanted to show a different look for some of you out there. I know got many ideas form thers cars. The black wheels I saw in a Japanese mag. they just struck me as bad lookin. I take everyones opinion with a grain o salt. Pictures do the car no justice either.

liquidice629
no offence taken man. i like the covers, and think they look clean. I never use the fogs, so for me it worked

WRC 555
45 per wheel for the coating, 25 to sand blast. so 70 in total. I kissed a guardrail, so i needed it done anyway, and ins. covered it. All four were bent as well. so i had them straightened at the same time.

Need my AWD
I am thinking the same thing. Carbon or blacked out aluminum, and a prodrive or ver 5 wing. Of course after i put in a turbo

josh

PS Impy

I didn't pay that much, but close. It is a three piece design, and because it was a one off, it cost a bit more. I am figuring about that much if I had a few made. It is a pretty complex design.

hey liquidice629, i removed the fogs from my car and installed the covers. why? because the stock lamps suck. i went with 85w bulbs and they were still useless. they are too low to be used as driving lamps. i'll upgrade the headlamps in the future (probably with morettes). just another perspective for you.

I don't like the wheels at all. In the dark or shade, it looks like there's no wheels at all, like the car's floating along. Sorry but the silver aluminum rims look much better. Chrome looks horrible on a Subaru too, but it's better than the black. I think it might be the lighting. Black wheels don't tend to show up well in photos.

I probably would if I could afford it. I really can't afford my 2000 RS as it is. I'm going to be in some serious debt for the next couple of years. After a couple more of those less-than-inflation yearly wages at work, maybe I'll be a little better off. But I'm in a really bad hole right now. I can't afford to do anything at all, no new tires, nothing. With the recent increase in gas prices and my 70-mile round-trip to work everyday, it's getting REALLY tough. There's a 1G CRX for sale about a mile away for $500. If I bought that and drove it to work everyday during the summer, I could save a lot of cash, especially on the Subaru maintenance. $30 per oil change (every 6-7 weeks) and $200 for the 7500 mile maintenance (every 4 months) is pretty tough. Not to mention the $350 6-month insurance premium I just paid. Ouch.

Matt,

I have an OMP racing seat. I swap it in for auto-x, and use my stock seat to commute in. The blue mathces REALLY well. I wish I could find an affordablerecliner in that blue. I bought it with the car a year ago. guy i bought it from was going to install it, but never did. I think you can get them online.
http://www.ompusa.com/

It looks like it has been discontinued tho.

They have other cool seats tho. check it out.

looks nice. I think that it's not as showy as alumminum but it's a lot less work to keep them looking clean. I was thinking about black rims because it's a pain to clean the brake dust every other day off my rims. looks nice. Anybody have black with a blue car?

Cool

I noticed all the RS cars lack the Japanese and Euro Imprezas rear bumper skirts which makes the car look lower from the back.
Why don't you guys add it as it is your cars look great from the front but from the side and beack it looks wierd.
