I smacked a curb hard, buried under some snow. I totally cracked the lip of the rim. Is this wheel repairable? Or, do I have to buy a new BBS rim?

I belive that generally:
Cracked=non-repairable Bent=repairable (Speaking from a ~$100 repair standpoint. Obviously with enough money, you can repair anything, including my brother-in-law.) Yours looks like it actually has metal missing. |

You can break stuff with any tire. All you have to do is drive beyond the tires limits, no matter how high they are.

Tires actually work quite well in the snow. Stealth curbs are a different thing

Question for Luke@Tirerack or anyone who knows the answer:
I'll be replacing the one screwed up tire with a brand new one. The others will not be changed. The rest of the tires probably have 15-20k. My question is: Will having a brand new tire with 3 other used tires be OK on my car once it is fixed? If not, what are my options other than replacing all the tires? |

Depending on the tread depth that is worn you should be fine. However with damage to that degree, make sure you check you supporting suspension components for damage, also dont be surprised if that wheel bearing goes out soon. |
