YOU HAVE LOTS OF MONEY- MICHELIN PILOT SPORTS PS2's.

YOU HAVE MONEY BUT NOT THAT MUCH-S03's or GSD3's.

YOU DONT HAVE THAT MUCH MONEY- KUMHO EXCTA MX's

THOSE ARE CHOICES FOR ALL AROUND

SUPREME DRY HANDLING- FALKEN AZENIS but not so good in wet.

falken GRB-FK451: excellent grip dry (not as good as azenis though) and wet. also CHEAP. can be found under $100 for 225/45/17.

I have them and love 'em. Haven't autocrossed on them yet though.

How do the Azenis tires wear? How many miles should I expect? What about the GRB-FK451's?

Depends what you want them for, I run A048 when I go to the track, Treadware is 60, terrible!!! For everyday driving, comfort and performance is the key, Michelin Pilot Sports is a good all rounder...

Perhaps a little more info about your needs and driving style would help people give you more specific tire choices. I think everyone assumes every other subie driver out there has the exact same needs as them. When I asked a similar question a few months ago, about tires for my TS grocery-getter, I got a lot of people telling me to get the high-end autoXing tires.
