Default Trailer Hitch

I have the factory hitch on my Baja and in order to lower your tag and tailgate you would have to remove the receiver so the tag won't hit.Well i just bought a new trailer 5x12 and with it hooked up the tongue height was to high.So i went and bought a 2 inch drop receiver and now my tag bracket clears the ball when in the down position. Now you can leave the receiver in place instead of swapping it back and forth.Maybe this will helpful.

I saw the same warning too but if your pulling a trailer you canít see the plate anyway.
When I leave mine in it rattles on bumpy roads. I had a problem with the stock ball mount hitting the lip of the trailers tongue. It would hit the 1Ē square shaft before the thing was all the way down on the ball. I wish I could attach a photo for you.

I was saying that you could leave the receiver in and lower the tag and tailgate for hauling or using the bed extender, not pulling a trailer.Since you said you seen the warning label on the receiver,i take that you have the raised part up with the warning facing up ? If its down i could see where it would hit.Sounds like your using it faced down.
