Default Painting Fuel Door

Has any one thought about or has painted there fuel door to match the upper color? I'm thimking of either painting the whole door or leaving the lower section silver to match the cladding and the rest the upper color that would make the door blend in good.I'm also thinking about doing the tailgate cladding with the upper color. What do you think?

Actually I was thinking of painting a flame job on mine. The monotone Mystic Blue will look good with a white-to-fade-to-orange-to-red flames over hood and fenders

Seriously, your idea sounds pretty good. I like the tailgate idea.

I wonder if the tailgate isn't already painted the upper color underneath the cladding. Hatake says he is going to check his sometime soon by taking the cladding off.

Uh... I wasn't going to take my cladding off - I think it's someone else. I just debadged the tailgate and patched up two holes with clearbra remenants... Anyway, that's what Subaru did on two holes in the rear bumper too (don't know why).

Oops, right you are , it was the author of this very thread who said he might take his off to get painted.

Say, Baja Turbo, if you do remove the cladding to get it painted could you weigh the piece and take pix of the naked tailgate?
