Default VOLK Availability

I have been trying to get some of the VOLK TE-37s for my STi for about 2 months now. I know that the 17X8, ET+44, 5X100 in Bronze is what I need and want. The only problem is that NO ONE has them. I have called a number of stores both online and local but none have them so I called Mackin (US Distributor) and they said that they were not available but that I could order them and that they would come straight from Japan but that it would take 2-3 months. I can't help but think that this is rediculous(sp). I know that these are JDM wheels but I can't imagine that this is their first request for wheels for the STi. Anybody have any ideas or options that I may not have looked at? Thanks

if you wanted 17x7.5, you could probably get them anywhere. I went through this last year when I wanted some CE28n's in 17x8. I ended up going with something cheaper, anyway, but it's a tough size/offset to find.

There are very few dealers that stock much in the way of Volks- too expensive, too many designs/sizes/offsets. I think most order through Mackin and they have containers coming in frequently, but most are preordered wheels.

It sucks, but I had to wait two and a half months for my TE37's, just ordered a set of gram lights (16X8) and the wait is on again.

And heaven knows I hate waiting

You may as well get the 8.5" width if you're going to order them like that.

I'm surprised people don't order them more often.

Waiting up to 3 months seems to be normal for Volks if they're not one of the most common sizes. If you're looking for NASIOC vendors that can help you with a custom order, I know that Gruppe-S (www.gruppe-s.com) and Titan Motorsports (www.subarustore.com) sell Volks.

Garret at World One Perfomance (http://www.worldoneperformance.com) can get you Volks as well, even if they're not listed on the website...the waiting period is about the same for all vendors though.

If you guys are familar with the long history of Rays engineering in Japan. They are not known to stock wheels in their warehouses for retailers and distributors to simply buy and sell to the general public. The Japanese have a very strong sense of pride in each particular product they make. When you order a set of Wheels from Volk they are generally hand made wheels. You are buying an exceptional piece of work. Thus the long waiting period...

They dont have tons of wheels just lying around for us to buy someday .They make the wheels based on the orders coming through unless you are a professional racing team that exculsively uses Volk Wheels.

The wait is worth it if you consider the time that is put into making the product. youw ill never get a piece of crap that tends to be made here from local casting companies trying to imitate a certain style of design. Hope this helps

When Mackin is out of stock of some wheels they usually tell customer that it will take an about 60-90 days.

I think TE 37 in Bronze 17x8.0 +44 5-100 is a common size for STI's. They usually stock these sizes, you called when they just got sold out about last week.

They tell you 60-90 days but if you order(back order) you might get earlier than 60-90 days. Mackin just like to be in safe side. They don't like to give wrong E.T.A.

If you need these wheels call us (718) 631-4001/7349.
We are very BIG dealer in EAST coast area for VOLK wheels.

Thanks,
