Post two questions...

hello all...just a couple questions...

1. How does an exhaust and intake REALLY do for the RS? Is it that much, or is it fun to hear the sound of the boxer?

2. If I were to install a rear sway bar... I know that it is easier to break out the back end and eliminate the understeer, but what about just normal cruising situations? Does the back end seem to break out alot, or basically just when you want it to?

thanks

ps. If the weather goes well, I may see some of you at the Carlisle show either Saturday or Sunday... woohoo.. can't wait to see the hooked up Mini Coopers (they were there two years ago)

Thumbs up

The exhaust makes driving the car alot more fun. It make sthe Boxer sound alot more noticable. I bought the 18MM sway bar and it made the car more neutral. I did get some fun times driving in ice on the Blizzak tires though. I think it was the combination of the two and the porr road conditions with scattered ice.

well I think the intake and exhaust makes a difference. My dealer raced me one time and he kicked my Ass! He had an intake exhaust and pulley at the time and I lost really bad. that was my proof right there. Now I have that stuff and I havent had a chance to race him
For the sway bar....I have mine on 22mm and I have never had a problem with the back end comming out. I dont drive like a nut either but I really have to say I like the way the car feels. when I had it installed i was so scared that the backend would fly out without me knowing but I have never had that happen. Its all up to ur driving habbits. Get the adj one from whiteline. Its cheap and its all 3 bars in one. 18mm 20mm and 22mm. This way you can see what u think is better. Neway good luck

thanks keith... that is what I am scared of (or at least I WAS). I think I may go and order it some time this week... hehe. I have had the car for a week and I wanna do stuff to it already. Any suggestions on an exhaust that is not too loud. I have heard that the Sti and Remus are the quetiest.. is this true?

Hey np I started out just like you, bought the car..loved it then I found this site and I saw that I can make it better!! ahh man, then u start getting stuff and u dont even know what it does but "everyone" says its good and u got it at on a group buy and saved ur self $100 bux, meanwhile u just spent $600 u didnt have hahahahh I love this car
Well I have been auto-xing with this sway bar and the back end only came out a bit on a HARD corner while I slammed on the brakes. Again, get the adj and start it off at 18mm. nemore questions please ask

Larry, the ADJ bar can be adjusted to 3 different settings. 18mm 20mm and 22mm so its like having all three bars and only paying for one. It has holes in it and every hole is a differnt setting. how does it work?/ no idea, but everyone says it does (see ) so i guess it just does its thing
