Post Anyone else's MY00 grinding front brakes?

I mean, I drive hard but 2 months and only one autocross with only 3700 miles on it and my front brakes are grinding a little already? What's the deal with that?

I have the same thing, only I have had my car for a year now, and they have been grinding a little since around 1 month after I got the car. Pads are glazed. This isn't that bad, though. It's better than warping rotors, which requires replacement of the rotors. The pads will un-glaze over a couple months time if you take it easy on them (yeah right! I haven't gotten rid of the glaze yet!). It doesn't really increase your stopping distance, though. If that is happening, then it's not just glazed pads. But I think that's probably what you've got.

I have changed my front pads once since I got the car. Very easy, took about 30 minutes for both sides, with no prior Impreza brake experience. That will only get rid of the glaze temporarily tho, if you drive like I do! Can you say "late braking"?

Yeah, that is my style at te track... Late braking and slidways through the corners.

I think I'll ask my dealer about it and see if they will take a look or change them out or whatnot. I still hav eplenty of waranty left.
