Post Grandma doesnt drive a pinto anymore! Yes you guessed it an RS! (not my grandmother)

I just remembered I never told this story, I remembered it as I was posting a reply in my other thread about the new RS in my town.

So yes its true, my friends and even my Boss at work told me they have seen what has to be at least a 70 year old women driving around in Silver RS coupe.

Can you imagine of your boss ragging on you cause you have the same car as a 70 year old women...(I can) and this was like 9-10 months ago when I first got my RS...He used to bust on me everyday.

I see older folk driving RS's all the time in my hometown, in central PA. I rarely see them where I live now, but last week I saw a silver RS coupe, big ol spoiler and all, coming the opposite direction. I waved, flashed the lights, etc. The person in the other car didn't even see me! She just kept on truckin', both hands on the wheel, looking straight ahead. BTW, the older people I see driving RS's are always women. Perhaps the car isn't masculine enough for an old man :-)

Post

it worked to my advantage: some 'older woman' bought an rs coupe, and didn't want the spoiler. yeah... free spoiler swap
So it's not all bad, and if I do see some granny with a coupe w/ short spoiler, I'm going to thank her.

I have seen a lot of older women driving rs's. any time one of my mothers friends see's my car they always say "oooo I like that isn't that a cute little car"

so much for it being tough, like we all thought.

I'm planning on getting the WRX this spring. I hope the responce from my mothers friends is "ooooo thats different isn't it...now why did you sell that cute little car" Then I'll know i made the right choice.
