Default has anyone modified their bumper beam for jdm fogs?

if so, how did it go?

i really dont want to take off the bumper and get a jdm bumper beam to install the jdm fogs.

i saw an article on how to replace the bumper beam, but not how to trim the usdm one.

this is for a 2004 impreza by the way.
