Default Hey all.. picked up a new ride a few weeks ago. or HI! keke another n00b. :) <--

Had an '03 Protege 5. Pretty much said. The Mazda was just too slow, I enjoyed the car while I had it...

Ahh when she was just a baby.

And the new ride....

WHITE '04 SUBARU WRX SEDAN

Footnotes: I LOVE THIS CAR! Ahh plenty of power, grip and 5 speed, ohh glorious manual transmission.
Impressions:
This car kicks ass! The stock tires suck.
Here's what I found already...
it is a bit floaty but once it hits the limit the tires bite and it's like a freight train i tried it this morning I did it on a nice 90 degree style downhill right hander it was like, understeer understeer, push push, more throttle HOLY **** HANG ON whip it.. whip it good.. it was the BOMB! :-)

.....and I already ordered a Kartboy short shifter.

l8r.

yes.. it's already broken in. I've had it for almost 3 weeks.

I have been doing my research and I plan to Opentrack the car on the weekends, but not until I get familar with the suspension.

I see most of you are running JIC's. I am willing to go all out, no expense spared (ok maybe a little bit) for suspension work. So far on my list are.

Cusco sway and strut bars
JIC FLTA2's c/o's
eventually i'll get around to a nice Stoptech BBK or STi Brakes.

Opinons?

Congrats on your purchase. Friend had a 02 protege5. He did something similar. He traded it for a GSR.

Actually I shouldn't say he traded it. Actually his dad had his car repo'd be because he didn't make the lease payments.
