Question feeding the addiction

For those of us who are addicted to this site I had a idea. Wouldn't it be nice if while for some unknown reason beyond our control like say you had to go out shopping with the wife that you could still receive updates from the site? I was wondering if it would be possible to have the ability to highlight a topic to have any further updates sent to your pager. That way even if your not near your PC feeding your habit you could still know what was going on. Think about it, there would be no need to look all unhappy and race around trying to get everything done. Well then again I would probably still race around simply cause I like to drive fast but at least I wouldn't be PO'd. My pager already send me stock qoutes, scores from about every kind of game on earth, the weather (not sure why if I am already outside), world news, local news and some other stuff. I'd pay Alex a monthly charge for the service. I see how many of you post here everyday so I know I am not alone on this one. Alex it could also help pay for new larger servers. Then again this could be another one of those thoughts I should have kept to myself?

What about those new pagers that actually have a keyboard you would have access to the boards at all times. Eating out, driving home from work in traffic, sitting on the can, at the movies, ahh wouldn't that be great sittin on the can and reading the tech forum. My kind of sh!+..

Thumbs down

My company provides the pager so that is what I want to use. They won't pay for one of the new cellphone, internet things so I am stuck with the pager. I can't take a cell phone or Palm into my work place either. If I do I could get fired or arrested.

I use a wireless IP modem and PIII laptop, or a ATT PocketNet Wireless Internet Phone when I can't take that with me!

I can check hotmail or bid on ebay with this phone! Now all I need is Wireless iClub.
