I'm thinkin about pickin up an extra td04 turbo and having it sent out to Deadbolt for the Monster TD04 port and polish.
Ive read that with this the turbo is capable of 17 psi and holding it. Now my question is.. Can you run the CobbAccess ECU 2 with the Monster td04 turbo, and control it with either a MBC OR EBC set to 17psi? Which is better way of controlling the boost with the AccessECU , the mbc or ebc? I currently am cobb stage 2, and wondering if it is possible to use the EBC to make 17psi.

You map will be all wrong for an upgraded turbo. The vf34 map would be much better but still wrong. You would need a custom tune.

To get the full potential out of the turbo you would need a custom tune. Running an MBC with a cobb stage 2 deffinately has its risks. ie: running more boost up top than the stage 2 is mapped for, causing detonation.
On another note, I don't think the deadbolt td04 will hold 17psi to redline... not sure where you heard that from. I just picked one of these up used and will do a write-up/comparisson with a stock turbo shortly. -- Ed |

but you can run 17 psi safely..? how do you like the turbo?

The turbo is not in yet. You can run 17psi safely on a stock td04 but it won't hold it to redline.
