Question Washer nozzle adjust?

Nooby question - how do I adjust the window washer nozzle to point down? When I'm at 60mph, it hits right in the middle, but when its in lower speed, it hits my sunroof, so lower half is left untreated. This in stop and go after snow traffic (mag chloride), with Sub signature infamous wiper track. And I noticed Sub went to sprayer, instead of steam that there is no adjustable ball in there... Is there a trick there, or do I resort to DIY?

I have read that you can take a ball point pen and adjust it somehow. I think that peaty in the forester forum has covered it with all of his DIY and modifications that he has done with his XT.

I adjusted the nozzles on the old WRX this way. By adding a few layers of electrical tape under the front side of the nozzle between the gasket and nozzle itself, you can get it to hit lower on the windshield. There is enough vertical edge trim on the gasket so you can shim it up a little without the tape being seen.

I'd suggest using a twisty tie. Just strip down the paper sheathing and insert it. People used to use pins but the sharp point would puncture the line.

Thanks - isn't this a dumb design? Is this Sub only, or everybody else think this is a cool idea? I don't get it...
