Post OT: Decent performance exhaust for JettaIII?

My sister's 97 Jetta GT's exhaust is starting to crap out on her. I haven't really gotten under the car to look at it yet, it might be something easy to fix, but this might also be a good excuse to put a better exhaust on the car. It's just the little 2.0L, so I'm not looking for amazing performance, just something that looks good and sounds good.

So, does anybody know of good places to look for VW stuff. About the only place I know of off the top of my head is Autotech - they've got an aluminized cat-back exhaust for $260, which ain't bad.

Any help is much appreciated.

Check out www.vwvortex.com if you haven't already. There's great information on all VWs there, plus a number of GREAT forum boards, including one dedicated excluisvely to the JettaIII/Golf platform. There may also be links there to VW tuners.

From what I can tell, you have a number of choices. Supresprint, Neuspeed, and Eurosport all offer aftermarket exhausts for the Jetta. Technotronics is yet another. It sounds like $500 is the average price for a good exhaust setup. Good luck!

Try Neuspeed. They're parts are relatively good I believe.

The speedshop by my place carries Oettinger, ABT...so those two would be nice.

Cool

Look at a Nuespeed, We have put those on more than one Jetta and the results were good and the owners are always smiling.
