Default Where is outside temp sensor mounted?

WHere is the sensor for outside temp on the JDM V7 sti's mounted? My friend has a V7 sti and i want to locate this sensor so i cant hook it up in my car and make my temp display on my V7 cluster..

it is the little black box in the center of the grill behind the badge next to your horn you will have to take the grill off to get to it.

Is it visable in this pic?


I gotta look at the car.. So if i just trace the sensor to the CLuster and hook it up to the same pins in my cluster will it work? I have read the thread on this and it doesnt seem like too many are being succesful..

Looking at the schematic the temperature sensor does not go to the gauge itself. It goes to the A/C Control module and then to the gauge..
