Talking Max N.A. Tune for a current RS??

Hey guys and gals!

I was wondering what the general consensus is on how much N.A. power is do-able from a current RS?

Would I/H/E get you to 200hp? If I decide to cheap out on the upcoming WRX, I will be looking for a clean used RS that I want to mod a bit. I would definately NOT be going the way of forced induction, so I am curious what others have done with N.A. mods and what kind of certified power increases they have had.

I thinks a 200 hp, N.A. RS would be just about perfect and a nice compromise for everyday driving here int he great white north (VT).

Thanks for the input.

Cobb Tuning, produced a MY99 RS N/A 222hp est. Yeah it can be done, but won't be cheaper than going forced induction of course.

With only Intake, header, and Exhaust? I don't know. Highly unlikely that it will get 200hp from 165hp. SCC had an article about the Ford Focus with AEM package (intake and cat-back), it gained approximately 10hp and 10lb/ft of torque. 35 extra HP is very hard to do, I think. The HP gain with a Jackson Racing Supercharger for Honda/Acura vehicle is about 30-40% of the car's stock power (approximately 30-50HP depending on the car).

Underdrive pulley too... might get to 180-185.

Add Trey's cams to the intake/headers/exhaust mix and I think you'd have 200 HP and one sweet sounding ride. I'm doing this in January.

Gazing into the crystal ball of eternal optimism, I see 0-60 in the high 6's, 1/4 mile in the high 14's. That's my story, and I'm sticking to it.

I have a Pipercross panel filter, Unorthodox underdrive pulley, Apex-i S-AFC, and Remus exhaust and my car laid down 129.7 HP and 149lbs Torque on an all wheel drive dynojet. This was all at the wheels. If the rating of 95hp stock at the wheels is right, then this is about 30hp more from those mods at the wheels. Kind of unbelievable, but I do have the dyno sheet if you want me to post it.

I'd be interested to see the dynosheet, but it is a fallacy of logic to use Shiv's stock HP number since you have a different dyno, different car, etc. If you wanted a halfway correct baseline you should have used your own car bone stock on that same dyno.
