i would go for something bigger like pe650's. You could probably get away with sti injectors with the stock FPR crush mod but i doubt it would be enough fuel if you are trying to get the most performance out of that turbo.

depends on how much boost you want to run. I know people have used the STI's with the 1820. And if you mod the stock FPR, you should be fine for 20 or so psi.
I wouldnt go with the PE650's just because of how hard they are to tune with. There is UR 600's or 685's, stock modded injectors, RC Engineering is suppose to release some new injectors for the WRX soon, and someone posted another company on here that had 650cc injectors for sale around $400. But that is just my opinion.

I believe the Sti would would. 565cc. i personally would go with something alittle bigger. (also assuming your upgrading the fuel pump here) The pe650's would be good but like said, they are a bit harder to tune due to the fact that they are a duel stage injector. From my experience they are hard to tune around 2500 rpms', or aka crusing speed. but ah, yeah, like Aaron said, if you can find another GOOD injector that are 600-sub 700cc's that are single stange, go for it. other wise pop the money for the PE650's if you have a good tuner and are willing to spend the time.

Why would you NOT want to mod the stockers and run 740cc injectors? AZScooby, has a list on the third page of that thread and the 1820 is one of the turbos that can use that much fuel...

Go with the PE650s personally. Someone who knows how to tune will be able to use them just fine. Expect a hunting idle unless you either raise the idle or get an ecutek reflash though. no biggee.

STi injectors will be fine. we use them all day with this turbo and they are nowhere near maxed out. What are you using for fuel managment? other mods?

Get the 740s... the STis will be maxed out if you run the boost you can with this turbo. I run mine at 1.6 bar, there is NO WAY the sti injectors can flow enough fuel to cover that.

With the stock internals of the EJ20, I was told the 550cc STi injectors are a good way to prevent you from making too much power and snapping rods and blowing pistons.

Correct me if I'm wrong.

The sti pinks will be enough if you run 19psi or less.. I have run mine with sti pinks for some time with no trouble.. I will be running the pinks on my new motor with the FPR crush.

DarthChicken: I wish i had the Nuts to run 1.6 bar The car must feel great..

1.6 bar, at 11.5:1 (20% toluene mix)

tuning this week for 12:1 on toluene mix, water injection with 25% methanol mix.

People don't mess with me on the street, they've learned the hard way - if you see a pdxwrx sticker on the car leave it be
