i was thinking about getting those too. What offset would you use though? Is +47 close enough? I guess that means no 18"s though huh.

The CR's aren't really all that expensive as Work Wheels go. I had bought a set for my Prelude, but then the car was totaled before I ever got to put them on. I'd say go for the real thing, you can get them for less than $1100/set. They're really, really nice wheels, and very few people have them. I will almost certainly be putting either the bronze ones or some bronze Weds Sports SA90s on my white '04 rex.
If you want expensive, try the Work VS-XX Mesh Wheels, like $800/wheel in some of the larger sizes! |

wanganrunner, are you hashiriya? this is bri. hit me up about those skirts, i have bunches of ppl asking me for them. =)
those works run no less than 1200 unless a store has a sale for some odd reason. i like the forged emotions much better, it's different in small details. don't think it's listed on their site anymore. anyway, those cost at least twice as much so they're out of the question. the closest imitation is another jdm wheel, dronell d-power TS-05 which is imported by fewer distributors than a couple years ago. importhookup.com still has them but only a couple hundred less than emotion cr kai. they are much closer to the original emotion than the cr kai though, except for some dimples around the hub area. |

we have them all on our site if you want to look...though we recommend you act fast if you want Emotion CR or Emotion Forged as both are now discontinued and going through their final production run. CR KAI will still be avialable.

I've seen Civics with Spoon stickers all over the car and the wheels are clearly Rota. (the lips are different shapes) About 2 months after I bought my RC2's the Action came out. And now this. Pathetic. Subydude, I can't fault you because you're only selling into demand. I just wonder why Rota can't come up with original designs. I wouldn't blast them like I do if that were the case. |

You will find a few thousand people around here who disagree with you. Rota is a rare occurrence of cheap not being = *****ty. For what you pay, they are a great deal. I am on my second set, no complaints and they look great. I paid $550 for all 4 (thanks suby dude!). I used to have Superleggeras but sold them for Rota Downshifts instead. I could have bought any wheel you can think of, it wasn't a price decision. Wheels are a wear item, and I am unwilling to pay a few grand for a set. Just MHO... buy whatever you want. ![]() |

I agree with 2003WRX. Some of the big power makers here on nabisco have Rotas. I just scraped one of my stockers on my stock exhaust lying in the garage (waiting for my Dallas attic to cool down below 150 degrees before I put it away). If it was a $450 Volk I would have been major po'd. If it was a Rota, I would just order a new one.
I will be buying some Rota's from the dude in a few months (wallet is still glowing from this spring: TBE, UP, AccessPORT, IC hoses, aircondition coils at the house, gas leak at the house, 3 new trees, 2 speeding tickets, and a broken garage door opener). |

Rota Torques are the knockoff for the Work Emotion series.
So many people run Rotas around here, and ask me if my wheels are Rota, I've started calling my Works my "Torque knockoffs". |

Ya you guys are right about the tradeoff between price and quality. I am thincking of getting the 17x8 Rota Torque nice wide rim with good looks. The only problem I have is the weight. I cant seam to find a nice light wheel that wont be expensive. I would like to get a nice set of Volk TE 37 17x8 but they are way expensive. I guess it comes down to does rim weight really make a big difference. Is it really worth the money for light rims??

The Torques aren't that heavy. They are actaully lighter than the Work emotions which run around 20lbs for 17x8.
