Question What do we think about this set up...[email protected]

Luke et al

Please tell me what you think of this set up.

Tires on a 02 WRX no suspension done. All stock.

18" ICW rims aprox 19 lbs offset is +42.

225/40/18 zr Yokahama parada spec II

Is this too heavy? How is the offset? Is it going to cause any early damage on my suspension, etc?

Thanks.

the 42mm offset will push the wheel out too far and you will experience rubbing when cornering hard or when you have alot of weight in the car ... and even on some large bumps

The rubbing issue is mute if you wish to run a bit more camber, say -2 degrees all around. Acheve this with the adjustable camber bolts tire rack sells. I see no wear issues with the +42 offset. The 19 lb is a little on the heavy for my taste, but in general it's not bad. Also look at the Kumho MX tire, and compare weights - check websites and call the manufacturer if need be (kumho lists them, yoko does not).
