I'm thinking of buying some used P1's with these Toyos used on them. I live in central cal and I don't encounter much snow or rain. I like to do my canyon runs every now and again too Will these tires be good for me? Advise me board. Thanks

I use the FZ4's as my winter tires. They're a decent all season tire. I like them a lot better than the RE92's, but for running canyons I would want a max performance summer tire.
I would guess that new P1's with FZ4's would be $1300 to $1400. $1100 used sounds a little high to me. If the wheels only have 1000 miles on them, it probably isn't a bad deal. |

Once the FZ4's start wearing they get noisey. And with about 1/2 to a little more tread gone they start hydro-planing pretty bad but still stick pretty well on dry roads. When new they do really well in the snow, rain and carving up some roads.
This time around I'll be trying some different all-season tires. |
