the difference between top and side feed

can anyone tell me what is the difference between top and side feed injectors, i know the obvious, side and top duh,
i am asking like, why was it done, any differnence between them,
which is better. i need all the info on them as much as possible.
can i fit sti injectors on the top feed one?

there is yet another the new STI had side feed injectors too but they should probblay be called bottom feed as the are differnt thatn the other side feed

Can you fit top feed jdm STi 565 injectos in a side feed no... not with out changing the rail. The usdm STi sidefeed are 480cc, and the wrx are 420cc.

this is what i am doing, i have a jdm engine which is top feed, i was wondering if i can use the jdm sti injectors with mrt fuel rails.

Im not a fan of aftermarket fuel rail...

so u are telling me fuel rails are bad, ok
does anyone know if the sti injecters fiton mrt fuel rails,
and the differences with the top and side injectors?
