Default 88 subaru wagon GL - Door Panel

In trying to remove the door panel and everything seems to unscrew or snap off pretty easily, that is until i come to the window handle. I can't for the life of me figure out how it comes off, PLZ any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm close to just ripping the darn thing off.

There is like a little spring clip under it that you have to pry out with a flat blade screwdriver... kinda push in the door panel and lightly pull on the window handle and you can probably see a little silver ring... thats it.
