Talking God i'm excited

I was ready to buy a new IS300 and become a boring driver and now the WRX is coming!! I know this topic is getting old but I haven't been to the board in a while. Has anyone put money down yet? The dealers here is St. Louis don't know jack. When I bought my RS two years ago they didn't know jack so nothing has changed. If I just wait until late Feb. early March, will it be too late? Should I find someone to take a deposit from me? I can't wait to have another turbo AWD car. I still miss my 96 DSM GSX.
Thanks ahead for all responses.

You, like the guy that guy that dropped his $20,000 VW order, are a smart, smart man. Good job.

Thumbs up

Hey, come on now, the IS300, though definitely overpriced is a damn nice car. 215bhp, and I KNOW it is RWD, but if I lived somewhere with no snow......maybe.

Don't knock the IS300. Six cylinders, RWD, great looks. There aren't enough cars like that around(that aren't built by BMW). Too bad they don't offer it with a manual tranny yet.

I would just hang tight for a little while. Did you check the dealer listing on www.new-impreza.com for a dealer closer to you that won't try to rape you? good luck and please don't buy an over priced Toyota.

Question

hey, isn't it the IS300 engine borrowed from twin turbo Supra? Therefore, you can add in the turbo, eh?

Nanase,

The IS-300, nee the Altezza, has the naturally aspirated 3.0L I-6 common to the Lexus SC300/Toyota Soarer and Toyota Supra.
The twin turbo variant is not fitted to the car from the factory, but is more or less a bolt in!

Im still wondering how you say its overpriced.
Its RWD, with limited slip. A nice 6cylinder engine, and veryyyyyyyyy nice interior.

Man i enjoyed it. And it MSRPd for about 33,000. Which invoices around 28,000 if im correct. Not to bad for the full leather deal, etc. It was peppy and very cozy

Did you watch teh video of an Altezza going against the new WRX? It was a joke. Might as well race a Tempo.
