Default Does anyone have 3 way components up front?

im just curious as to how you managed it. I just got a set of mb quart 3 way components (6.5" 4" and 1") and im trying to figure out a good way to mout it all. I think i may have to make some kick panels for the 4" but i would rather not.

how did you do it?

Just as you said you would rather not do it...

I placed the tweeter and 4" in the kick. The 6.5" in the door.

You could always build a pod in the door for the 4" and tweet. Just forward and above the stock location where the 6.5" would be stuffed.

Check out...

www.iaperformance.com

They sell adapter rings to mount the 6-1/2s in the front panels...and they also have a bracket to mount aftermarket tweeters.

I too am gonna do the 3 Ways in the doors, and haven't had the time to do the install. I was thinking about installing the 4 just above the 6, on my legacy there is a nice hard carpeted surface to mount to, if I can get a good position for the hole. Also plan to mount the tweeters in the "sail" panels. I think I'm gonna use the stock panels and modify them to hold the tweeter.

Let me know if you figure out an alternate setup,
BD

I have begun my process of 9" Phoenix Gold Elites in the heavily modified doors and 6" Phoenix Gold Elites in kick panels. So far I only have one door curing...

Don't expect pictures anytime in the next few months...

Luckily I bought some extra door panels so if it goes horrbily wrong no harm done

Regards,

Aaron
