Lightbulb Rally Innovations Light Bar Lighting Ideas?

Anyone out there using a Rally Innovations Light Bar on their cars? What kind of lamps are you using with the bar? Just trying to figure out what to do when i get around to getting myself a light bar. (Oh, and what wattage are the lamps?)

the ones that it was made for are the PIAA 520s. I think the bulbs run an H3, so what ever H3 bulb you want to run, they probably come from PIAA with 55w.

I think they have mounted Lightforce lights to them as well. And John at RallyInnovations has tried to mount Hella 500s on them but they don't fit well (just a little to big)

I think I have seen as many as 4 PIAA 520s on an RI light bar.

the 4 piaa's + the light forces definately brighten up the road... oh and they are definately bright enough to make oncoming traffic who don't want to turn their high beams off swerve cuz of temporary blindness when you turn them on.. anyways i'd post a better pic but for some reason i can't attach a picture.. hmmm

I know there is pictures of the newer body style with lights on the bar somewhere. The ones that I have are kinda krappy though. If someone sends me some I'll post them.

Holy crap!

Niiiiiice!

So did he have to dab a little behind each ear or just roll around in it?

Question though, where the heck does the bar bolt to? Does it go through the holes on the front bumper?

Jealousy, sweet setup. But honestly do you ever use that much light?

the answer to that is multifold. You would never need for normal street duty, it would blind everyone for a mile in front of you. Unless of course you are trying to get rid of the plodder in the passing lane.

But the main purpose for this is for road rallies, specifically night time road rallies. I belong to a club that does this at least once a month and we use backroads and open highways that no one else uses. For the most part the are unlit and having extra light output is helpful.

The club is called Into the Night Rallye, the motto used to be "life begins after 2am". The rallies run anywhere between 4 and 16 hours straight, and some are 40 hours but broken up over three days.
