Default Dim Autometer Bulb, part deux

Okay, I've been having this problem with a dim Autometer Clock, Phantom series. Well, today I tried a 194 bulb in it, and no change. Anyone have any other suggestions?

My theory: I think the clock may be "made" by a different vendor, process, etc. and I think the inerds of the clock are different than the normal gauges. Something about it just won't let the candle power through. Just my 2 cents.

Guess I better replace the clock with a "real" gauge, huh?
