Default 2000rs ecu question

I just got done labeling my ECU i/o signals using a listing with pin locations, I have about 5 or 6 wires left that are not on the list that go to the engine or somewhere else, What are they??

I'll ask you this; where are they? What pinout #?

Do you have the bulkhead harness laid out out in the car? If it's laid out follow the wires and see where they go.

I did this part in a different fashion. I never actually labeled the wires on my EJ22 ecu. Instead, I identified which wires I would need using the I/O Signal pages and marked them. When I was ready to merge the harnesses I saved the wires I had pre-determined and removed the rest. This does take some work on your part and it is possible to overlook something and pull out a wire that you actually needed. i found that there were only 11 wires at the ECU that needed to be saved.

They are: b136 pin 27,b135 pin 11, b135 pin 12, b135 pin 13,b135 pin 6,b135 pin 25, b134 pin 12, and last but not least b134 pin 24. I just double checked my I/O list, none of these are on there.

Yea that sounds about right, but these mystery wires are getting me, Where do they go and what do they do? Since subaru did not list them on the I/O sheet, are they not important or something?

Use your wiring diagrams. If they aren't listed in the I/O Signals section, then browse through the wiring diagrams and find them in there. I just casually glanced through and found b136 27 in the I/O Signals and b135 11 and 12 in the 2500cc engine electrical system. I'd write them all out but they are too hard to trace in the pdf and I'm not going to print them.

Keep looking, they are there .

After looking over the diagrams I've found them, one was the power steering oil press switch! I don't know why subaru left that one out of the 2000RS I/O list but it's on my 2004wrx list so they will be getting spliced. Two others were simply grounds, another two go to a check connector (don't need?).
