02 WRX Exedy Clutch and Flywheel noise - Help

I recently installed the Hypersingle Exedy clutch and flywheel kit. I started noticing noise right below my shifter. Here are the symptoms

Cruising along the highway, let of the throttle off, I hear a noise right below the shifter. The noise will go away if I press the clutch or push the throttle. Its a hissing noise.

Part of this swap was changing the tranny oil. We could not find the stock 75w90 GL-5 oil, so we went with 80w90 GL-5 Non synthetic oil. We also noticed a little play in the Kartboy shortshifter near the tranny.

Questions

Could this be normal noise with the clutch/flywheel kit?
Could this be syncro noise with the different oil, but why would it not come when I step on the gas or clutch?
Could this be because of the shifter play?

Any ideas ?

I have the Toda clutch and flywheel on my 02 and have the same noises you are describing. Took it back to the install shop twice just to check and same results both times. Nothing wrong. I contacted someone at Toda and they said that many people using this setup are having the same issues and it is due to the "fingers" of the clutch rubbing the flywheel when you let off of the throttle. Nothing to worry about just have to listen to the noise.
