13.6 at 97 mph---cobb stage 2.5 times (vf34 map)

i have cobb stage 2.5(vf34, sit injectors, walboro fuel pump, helix up/down pipes and greddy evo) with spare tire in and no race gas

i ran a 13.6 at 97.58 with a 1.903 60ft

i was trying to be nice on both the tranny and the clutch

im sure someone who gets a 1.7 or 1.6 sixty ft can pull a low 13 or high 12

I believe so.

Nice times, but you can get you 60' time down without being so hard on the tranny.

Rule of thumb is every .1 lost off the 60'er equals .2 off in the 1320', so a high 12 should be reachable.

97mph trap w/ VF34 is pretty low.. either you need some serious tuning or better shifting... there is no reason you can't trap near 103-105 w/ that.

sorry I don't want to come of as a flame but I trapped at 97.8 w/ the stock turbo on stage 2 hence my comment about the trap speed.. usually a low trap like this is indicitive of poor tuning or poor shifting.

Yet your ET for that 60' and trap speed is very solid.. I think w/ my 97.8 I was at 13.8

Yeah I think you could do better for sure. I managed a 13.7@ 97.1 on the stock turbo w/ full turbo back and FMIC(lots of lag).

However, my little brother got himself a 13.6@98.8 on the stock turbo, full turbo back and uppipe with TMIC.

(all on 91)

I think there is more in it.

Hate to break it to you but I trapped 98.4mpn with just an axle back, an MBC, and a drop in filter.

That is extremely slow if you ask me.

I ran 13.5@97.7 (1.8x 60ft) with just an MBC, drop in filter, and a few gallons of race gas. Totally stock exhaust at the time. Under $200 in mods.

Yeah there's something wrong with your tuning, most likely. Post your slip so we can see at which point you lost power. You might be knocking and not know it.. no bueno.

I've seen people with "Cobb stage 2" reflashes trap between 99-101mph in the 1/4.

This makes me have severe apprehension about my purchasing the access-port with intention of of upgrading to the 2.5 stage....I was hoping to see at least low 13s w/ the 2.5 stage but I guess I was way overestimating the aggressiveness of the tune.

somethings wrong....could be running REALLY rich. A friend of mine did 13.8@97 with just HKS dp and a 1.89 60ft in 90degree heat.

The Vf34 map is not tuned for the full capabilities of that turbo, it's very conservative and tops out at 17psi. It also doesn't take advantage of an uprated fuel pump - although it is tuned to work with the STI pinks.

Cobb are waiting for their IC to release the stage 3, so it's pretty obvious this isn't extracting the full potential of the setup.

regardless those trap speeds are terrible based on the increased amount of air the VF-34 flows over a stock turbo at 16psi.

With just a VF30, HKS DP with a cutout and uppipe, stock boost control, I went 13.4 @ 101mph.

thanks for the insults---yeah i know i drive like a 6 six year old girl----i got a 97 mph trap speed with a cobb stg 2--i know my launch sucks but my shifting cant be to bad ---i dont have the slip on me now but i got like 80.88mph at the 1/8th, and with my cobb stg 2 i got a 78.00 at the 1/8th----so maybe my shift from 3 to 4 is ****ed up---cobb is the **** and if someone who knew how to drive, drove my car they could get low 13s high 12s----by the way im in sarasota florida where the fastest sti gets a 13.3

just so u know i learned how to drive a stick by myself(with a prelude) a year ago---my mommie or daddie didnt teach me---but anyway thanks for the flames---i ll go hang myself now and it was only my second time at the track

That's just NASIOC's way of saying you need tuning, or you have a problem with the car.

BTW, I ran 13.1@ 104 on the stock turbo....with a 2.0 60'. I learned how to drive 5spd when I picked my WRX up. No mommy or daddy here either.

13.5@99.57 1.78 60ft. turboxs stg2.5 re92's. I think my et should've been lower judging by my trap speed and 60ft.
