Default wrc replica (the cheap 150$ ones)modification

has anyone put hella optilux lamps in their wrc replica headlights?

i was thinking of putting them in and putting HID in the low beam and keeping the regular lamps for high.

also i was wondering if it was possible to get a signal indicator like the morettes or the ominari wrc replica's to fit in the "cheap" wrc replica's (the ones for like 125$)

thanks

I put the Hella units in fiberglass accurate replica WRC bezels that I bought from RHR Performance (originally from Rallytech UK.) The units fit fine after swapping the hi and low beams relative to the Prodrive UK300s. I covered the fiberglass bezels with carbon fiber and resin, as I knew that paint would not last long under fire of Colorado sandblasting. Nice lights, nice WRC appearnace.

These technically are not the ones Prodrive uses in their UK300 setup. The ones you have pictured are Hella H9 90mm units while the Prodrives are Hella H7 90mm units. The H7s are units based out of Germany and seem to produce a bit more light from what I've heard. But everyone says that the H9s are plenty bright and that the cost increase of the H7s compared to the H9s is not really worth it.

If you haven't already, check out the following site for really good info on headlight retrofitting:

how much were you're bezels?

but this is a bit off track. The 90mm units will fit. i was really wondering if anyone was able to fit the optilux 2500 lights and able to aim them. Also i was wondering about the signal light.
