Talking New 2001 Impreza 2.5 RS

Just got back from my local Subie dealer
here in Winter Park (close to Orlando)
and they had a new Silverthorn 5 speed
with carbon fiber dash and all the tricks!
$21,500! Nothing has changed on the Subie,
everything is the same except for the
carbon dash and instrument panel.
They did have other 2001 Subies though, Outback sedan with all the bells and
whistles and even had an Impreza L sedan (silver) 5 speed.
Just thought ya'll would like to know!
Later.

GRRRR!! I can't believe this, other dealers already have 2001's. I desperately need a car for work(n play heheh)and my dealer won't get an RS until end of August in a color I hate! They're also pushing me to order one which won't make it here till late Sept. Anyone know of a dealer in the NJ region that has 2001's?

Finally, someone else in Orlando. I have a house in Golden Rod, Between Colonial and University. In Hidden Oaks.

Is that the dealer next to a Hyundai dealer?

Will call you guys when I go over!

$21,500? you're being robbed! I paid $19,055 for a 00 coupe with keyless entry, floor mats, and gauge pack, and i felt i was getting ripped off with that!

I just bought a MY01 BRP RS Coupe yesterday at Coleman Subaru in Trenton and hope to pick it up today. They're getting a few more in in a few days, I believe. Nitti's Subaru in Hamilton is getting some next week, supposedly...And you can always try Lakewood Subaru, just don't be afraid to get up and walk out on them. Lakewood tried to mess with me numerous times.

I saw a 2001 Inmpreza L at Mastro Subaru (in Tampa) last week and noticed that they now have the same exhaust as the 2.5RS! At least the tip & muffler look the same!

That's $21k msrp right? You should be look at invoice and go from there. You shouldn't have to pay msrp unless all of a sudden everybody wants an rs.

I got my RS at Nitti's. They are a small dealer but very nice people. When I went for a test drive the sales guy, Billy Taylor, just tossed me the keys and said 'have fun'.

If you are looking for an RS, just make a bunch of calls on the phone and drive to get the car. Don't count on your dealer to do the searching for you.

Hey, could you guys/gals in the NJ area give me some phone numbers of a Subie dealership with 2001 RS's? I'm only an hour or so from Princeton/Trenton and certainly don't mind driving up to get an RS immediately! I've tried Miller Subaru in Mt. Holly, Cherry Hill Subaru, and Martin Subaru with no luck. Thanks a bunch!!! ^_^

Fido-

Congrats on the car! How was the buying experience? I'll be getting either a 2001 RS or a 2002 WRX soon, and I was planning to go out of Florida to do the buying but if you had a good experience... I don't know about paying $21,000 though, that seems way steep.

Keep us all posted on how your ride is doing!
