Impreza GC8 04 STI gauges in an 00 RS?

Sorry I didnt have time to do a seach on this subject, but heres my question.
Is it possible to put the 04 STI gauges (speedometer, tach. etc.) into an 00 RS? I know it wont bolt right in, I'm more concerned about wether or not its possible to wire it up correctly. I just thought that the STI's blackout gauges would look nice with the blackout Defi gauges I ordered. I went to the Subaru dealer and he said he could get one for me for under $450.

Any info and opinions would be a great help,

thanks alot,
Rob
