Thumbs up APS 3" Turboback

I recently installed the above mentioned exhaust system on my '04 WRX.

I chose this system for three main reasons.

1) I was able to purchase the exhaust off of ebay for $800shipped

2) The system is aggressive, but still very quite compared to most other systems.

3) And finally, the good name of Air Power Systems, coupled with the fact that I believe in getting everything working together as a system.

I've found the exhaust note to be better than I expected, power gains felt good by the seat of my pants, but I'll know for sure when I get my UTEC dyno tuned.

Here's how I would rate this product on a scale of 1-5, 5 being the highest/easiest/best:

Fit and finish = 5
Sound = 4
Loudness = 3
Ease of install = 4 (the downpipe was a little hard to get to)
Overall satisfaction = 5

I plan on getting some good pics of my car in it's current state as soon as we get some decent weather... I'll have a pic of the exhaust on the car then.

I am thinking about getting the same exhaust system as you.
I dunno from who you got yours, but I've heard that there is one on sale on ebay that's fake.
I need to get CAT as well, since I live in Cali. Don't want to have tickets problems.
Did you get ONE or TWIN tip?

the 3.5 has an N1 style muffler. and apparently its really loud. its basically specifically made for the STi or High powered WRX's

its got a really large tip compared the the 3.0"

I have the version with a single 3.5" tip, but the exhaust is 3" then tapers down to 2.5" at the axle-back. I know this because I sold it as a full 3" exhaust (because I thought it was) and the buyer measured it, got pissed and sent it back. So $150 in shipping and I still have a turboback sitting in my garage when I haven't owned a WRX for six months.

No, this is the real deal, it isn't some Ebay knockoff.

I purchased the 3" APS w/4" tip from MZM Performance in Texas for around 1100, I believe. Also have the 3"cat. I couldn't be more happy and get lots of compliments on how tough/throaty it sounds. It has an almost V8 rumble to it, and doesn't drone on the highway. Really gave the Subby a voice. Fit and Finish are perfect. Recieved the exhaust within 2 days of purchase and even used regular shipping, no rush service. Absolutely no browning of bumper either.

Cool yep

I got this exhaust after a couple others (borla & borla hush) and think it is the best sounding exhaust for my car. It also helps that I have uppipe + headers - the headers make it sound extra tough with some backfiring when I rev...lame to some, but sweet to others!

I saw a pic and it looked like the tip stuck out really far from the bumper.. I like teh APS or the Cobb, those are my choices.
